Dog park reopening Sunday, June 1st

By Ashley

Welcome back! Who has been more impatient in the reopening of the Ghent Dog Park - your dog(s) or you (their trusty human companions)? Get those tails wagging and harnesses ready… The wait is over this Sunday, June 1st! (weather-permitting)

Your patience in the closure of Barkley Gardens has allowed the new grass time to take root and grow, but now the grass has been cut and all is ready for tomorrow! GDPA President Michael Willits seeks to remind us all

… [the dog park] is open sunrise to sunset just like every other city park. However, we encourage dog park visitors to be courteous to the neighbors by keeping their park visits between the hours of 8am and 8pm.

If you’re new to the park, or even if you want a quick read again, please head over to our Rules & Etiquette page to catch up on our few rules in order to keep our park green and great! Should you find you still have questions after perusing the webpage please don’t hesitate to contact anyone involved in GDPA - we’re here to help!

Let’s hope this beautiful weather holds and we’ll see you all tomorrow, between 8am and 8pm, in the park to welcome in June!

Stay tuned! Future posts to come:
