The Ghent Dog Park Association is managed by an all volunteer Board of Directors. You can contact us directly by clicking on our names.

President:

Traci Lovelace: is a Florida native who has lived in Richmond, Northern VA and now, Portsmouth, since 2012. She is an avid animal and plant lover who is also a volunteer for the Master Gardeners. Traci and her husband share their space with 4 dogs: Jake (rough collie), Rusty (rough collie), Izzie (Shiba Inu) and Paisley (Collie/Aussie mix) as well as cats and fish.

Vice President:

Dan McNamara Dan is a practicing attorney experienced in criminal, contract and media law.

Prior to law school, Dan was a newspaper reporter. His beat focused on local government.

“I feel like I owe it to Jasper (my Australian Cattle Dog) to do what I can to improve the park and that my legal experience and government and private sector connections can help us do so.”

Secretary:

Adryan Clapp: Adryan is a Pennsylvania native, having relocated to the Tidewater area in June 2013. Besides her passion for animals, she is a graduate of Lycoming College and has three dogs: Chewy (Bichon Frise), Charlie (Australian Terrier) and BJ (German Sheagle).

Treasurer:

Tom Clapp: Tom is originally from Chapel Hill, NC and has lived in Norfolk for the last 4 years while serving as a Naval Aviator. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and has 3 dogs: BJ (German Sheagle), Chewy (Bichon Frise), and Charlie (Australian Terrier).

Our Board of Directors also includes

Jeanine Benjamin: Jeanine serves in the Navy and owns a Bull Mastiff named Paxton. (That’s Latin for Peace, in case you didn’t know) Jeanine is passionate about volunteering and being involved with the community. She has taken a special interest in fundraising for the park.

Chris Osgood: Chris is a long time volunteer, contributor and Board Member of the park. He is quick to step up when volunteers are needed and has contributed greatly towards getting the park where it is today. Chris has two Frenchies - George and Walter.
